Hunting with metal detector

The Garret Ace 250 is a good Metal Detector to start out with easy to use and very dependable , and can be found for under 200.00 . I started out wit one I now use the garret AT pro Gold , you will love the hobby , think of all the old farms and back roads were you can use it !

I have a Minelab detector and a Garrett pin pointer (hand held probe). I have been into detecting for quite a few years. You can get bit by the bug as hard as you want. I hunt mostly parks, beaches, old home sites and campgrounds locally, but I have friends who travel all over the place. This last fall I shot a bull elk an the bullet didn't exit. I expected to find it either when I skinned him or during butchering. I didn't. I went back later to the spot where I dressed him out and found the bullet. I'm also a duck hunter and often use my pin pointer to scan the ducks and geese for steel shot. Steel shot are hard on teeth and meat grinders.

I have a whites coin pro it do good for the money a garrett ace250 I thinking about getn one go to KELLYCO MEATAL DEECTORS they have hunderds of them at good deals and a plus u get out in the woods more

I'm glad this thread resurfaced I've been wanting to get one myself with around a $200 budget.
