Just wondering what everybody thought on what the best box store out there was? I tend to frequent Menards over Home Depot or Lowes. I do like Lowes for there tool selection and Home Depot for there flooring and bathroom fixtures. All in all Menards is lot closer, I like there sales, lumber selections. They also went union on there fixtures and pallet racking and I worked on the local store.
We don't have a Menards here. So I'd have to go with Lowes. We used to have a great local hardware, but it closed shortly after Lowes opened. They always had this huge bin of tools, and other pieces of hardware marked to like a quarter. I used to sift through that thing for hours.
Use it up, wear it out. Make it do, or do without![/b]
I used to love Home Depot but now I can't stand the place. We don't have a Menards so it's Lowes for me ;D I have never seen a bigger collection of Morons than we have at the Massena NY home depot
We have all three, I'm an electrician, Menard's has a standard mark-up, there prices tend to be the best, you're right about each local store, we had a great manager in Holland, went down hill fast since he moved to corperate, for electrical, Menards-prices, for everything else, but lumber-Lowes, I pick up my lumber on the way to the cottage 30 miles from home at menards, Home Depot seems alright just don't quite get thier location here, way out of the way and they're just not with it . I forgot about TSC! I love that store! That's where I go for any kind of bolts. By the pound! Gotta love it! I was just there last night to buy one of those rubber tubs!
