HAS ANYONE CANNED ANY MULLET IF SO WHAT IS THE RECIPE YOU USED, I AM NEW TO THIS AND WOULD LIKE TO GET STARTED, INTERESTED IN CANNING FISH, DEER, VEGETABLES,..THANKS
Never canned mullet, but I have canned a lot of trout. It's not difficult, just time consuming.
I skin the trout and cut it up bones and all. Pack it into clean hot jars, I use pints. I do not add any additional liquid, but I think some guys will add a tbls of white vinegar or ketchup for color. I think the processing time is 75 minutes at 10 pounds pressure. It dissolves the bones and it ends up similar to canned salmon you'd buy in the store.
Use it up, wear it out. Make it do, or do without![/b]
