Running out of ground deer meat

Season can't get here quick enough. We got til September 29th for archery opener here in Ohio. Getting close to running out of ground deer
I don't think I've bought ground beef from the store in the past 7 years.
Here's the last batch I ran from last year.

Do you do your own grinding and bagging?

My brother had some processed that came in bags like those.

He gave me some when he had to put up another deer a year later.
The meat was just as good as fresh !
I really like the bag system.

I haven 't put up a deer the last years, been either busy or something else !

Hope to get two the first day this year.

I know what you mean! We got down to the last of ours already, but decided to save it for our puppy so he can start getting accustomed to game meat. Which means no more deer for us until the season opens up and we get some.

I grind most of the venison I harvest. I keep the backstraps and the hams from a small one but everything else gets ground. We go though a lot of burger in this house plus 4 types of venny sausage.

we use to only eat ground venison for way many years.we still do some but for the last 12 years I have raised my own steer.we butcher one every fall I gotta say hard to beat grass fed beef
