4 lbs cucumbers, thinly sliced 1/2 cup onion, thinly sliced 1 1/2 TAB salt. Combine above in a large bowl-mix well. Cover and let stand for 3 hours.
DRAIN-RINSE-DRAIN
In a pan combine the following ingredients
2 cups white sugar 1 cup apple cider vinegar 1/2 tsp celery seed 1/2 tsp ground turmeric 1/2 tsp mustard seed 1/4 tsp alum
Bring this to a boil, then remove-cool and pour over the cucumbers, mix to blend then pack in freezer containers leaving a 1 inch head space. I always cover them before sealing with a layer of saran wrap right over the top of the cucumbers.....this keeps frost from forming on top. Place cover tightly on container Place in freezer...they keep for a long time.
