I found this growing in my north pasture and I don't know what it is. Any help would be appreciated

Hi patricimo54. We need more infor on this mushroom. Is it ribbed under or is it solid or sponge like? The base or the root... is it a bulb or is it a straight stalk? Is there a bad odor from it and when you break it open is it white meat inside? the top is it moist or dry?

It is ribbed underneath, it is a strait stalk, when broke open it has a pleasant odor, the inner meat is lighter than the skin, it is light yellow.To the touch it would be comparable to a puff ball. It was slightly moist, but we have a heavy due this morning.

Well after doing an internet search I believe what I have is the poisonous "Jack O'Lantern" mushroom.
