Had the itch yesterday, but it was fleas. ;D Seriously, I truly love them.

Nope. I'm not itching to get out and "hunt" some. I'm itching to get out and FIND some! The past couple of years have been terrible around here. Just didn't get the moisture we needed...WHEN we needed it. Wish them things weren't so darned fickle!
I never get paid what I think I should for my fur so I blame nafa and everyone else... except Steve.
Not gonna get my hopes up just yet, but the long term forecast 3 weeks out looks promising. Hopefully, the 2nd week of April will host the first find of the year ;D

There's been years when we didn't find any, close to home, until the first week in May. Starting to look like this could be one of those years.

I've picked a few down there. You've got MUCH better hunting close to your home IMO though. Maybe more competition too??? Before the internet made information so readily available there wasn't much competition for morels in northern Illinois. Over the past couple of decades things have become fricken CRAZY!
