First batch of frig dill pickles today

Is in the bag. Should be ready in about 2 weeks. I like adding some Hungarian Wax peppers in the mix, to give a bit of spice to the dill pickles ;D

Just cleaned everything up, cored the peppers, and boiled up the mix. 12 cups of water, 6 cups of white vinegar, some dill seed, garlic salt, pickling mix (about 1 1/2 cups) and some alum, to keep things crisp.

Poured the brine on the stuffed jars, and sealed. After they cooled to room temp, put in the frig.

hey CJ not try'n to high jack your post but since you do some canning you need to try these pickles their made right in Ohio and they are fantastic i think you will like them when your canning stock runs a little dry ;D

i just made a batch of fridge bread and butter pickles tonight used zucchini in place of pickles i will get a pic up tom ;D
