I just traded an old computer with monitor that I don't use any more. I got 5 cases of distilled water a case of olive oil, and a large bottle of dawn dish soap. Not bad for giving him something I don't use. This swap meet made me start to wonder.
How many of you guys and gals barter or trade with other people? Does this happen more than I think it does?

My hunting buddy is always bartering. Traded some deer backstraps for fresh off the boat shrimp. Traded his neighbor a seasons worth of fresh chicken eggs for a little dozer work.
I usually just trade insults with my friends.
2014-15 Trapping Season
1 bobcat
6 coons
2 yote
21 grinner
1 beaver
14 mice
2 Stinker
That's funny Mr chicken. I like trading it just seems more nature to me then the whole money thing.

Do it when I can. I typically plow out my drive with the 4 wheeler, but it was starting to look like a bobsled run. Finally got a guy over to widen it tonight with a full size plow, in exchange for a few pounds of deer meat

I do trading and bartering with my friends Trade eggs for sweet corn, raise pig in the summer exchange for corn to feed them, help with haying to get some skidster work done, etc. All works out in the wash.
That's the way I look at it as long as both side are happy with the trade why not.
