I have recently noticed that one of my three hens has a much more paler comb than the other two. She eats and acts fine, just her comb isn’t as large as the other two girls. They are all the same age (23 weeks old) and came from the same run. What could this be? Do I need to treat her for anything?
OBSESSED: A word the lazy use to describe the dedicated.
I've heard that some chickens combs may pale out when the bird is moulting. Could sometimes be stress related as well. If she's acting normal and eats and drinks fine, I wouldn't worry much about it.
Yea but what about the times I go through the drive thru and don't have pants on?---Maritimer

is she laying? when hens start laying their combs get light colored & also their vents. thats a sure way to tell if a hen is laying. i wouldnt worry about it.
