Anyone else head out and looks for sheds? Any luck finding them? I've only ever found a few, and nothing really big. Never found a matching set of antlers either

I've never actively looked for them, but I have stumbled across some while turkey hunting. I have heard they are dropping around here already. Pretty early for this area.

I look all the time,but find few. I saw where some guys train their dogs to find them. I also saw a contraption a guy made to knock the antlers off the deer.when they came to a feed station .

I've never really looked for them. I might a guy last year that did it for a hobby. He had thousands of sheds! Maybe I'll look this year a little more.

I've heard from a few guys here in NH that have trail camera pictures of bucks without antlers, but so far no luck finding any sheds. Looks like Pipewrench knows where to look.

I don't actually look for them, I stumble across quite a few while pheasant hunting. Over the last few years I have found two matching pairs quite a few singles and a few skulls with antlers attached. The key I think is to cover lots of ground. Most of the time I don't pick them up as they are too awkward to carry along with a gun and a couple birds in the bag. I saw two live bucks locked up by the antlers in North Dakota a few years back.

Dam pipe wrench, that's a set of bone right there. I search all the time . Have found quite a few but like cj , never a set. I will posts some pics of some tomorrow.

I'm more than a little envious. Most years I'm happy to find one or two antlers. My best season was 6. Three deer and 3 moose. Shed hunting has been a favorite pastime of mine for quite a few years. Unfortunately, I'm no better at finding antlers on the ground than I am at finding a deer with them still attached.
My uncle goes shed hunting all the time he had a ton of them too. I farm so I cover a lot of ground in the tractor. I've found a few whitetail sheds here and there and with the moose I've seen around here lately it's only a matter of time until I come across a great big matching set I'm sure! I just hope I don't find them poking out of my tractor tires !!!!
