I am new here, but have been trapping for 40 vears.
I have a problem with 2 ATVs with which I need help.
I bought rear rack extension kits to add some serious capacity. However, since the panels are expanded metal, everything gets coated in mud, water, and slop. I need to find a material that comes in panels or sheets. Then, I can cut panels and simply drill holes in the panels and zip tie them into place.
Ideally diamond plate aluminum would be perfect, but I cannot find the small piece sat a cheap price.
Does anyone have ideas or suggestions? Maybe a product from the lumber yard? Some material that is light, easy to cut, and will hold up against the splash of mud and water, and then the occasional spra off with the pressure washer.
I am tired of gear, pack baskets, buckets, and critters getting extra mud.
Maybe some plexi-glass? seems like the 1/4" thick stuff would be light weight and fairly durable. You could zip tie it to the underside of the rack and not on the inside so your equipment wouldn't slide around.
