Update on my Peach Tree Swarm.

What did you mean, if they get aggressive, they're goners? How long before you know they are well established?

The colony should become strong in about 40 days or so. I will check in about ten days and it should have capped brood by then, if the queen is good.

Let me explain the aggressive part.

We have Africanized bees in southern Utah. If this swarm is from one of those colonies they will get very defensive when the colony gets larger and stronger (about 50-60 thousand bees). If this occurs and I receive multiple stings just looking into the hive I will destroy the colony under suspicion of being Africanized. Angry, uber moody bees, take the joy out of life.

Thanks that makes sense, 60 thousand Africanized, aggressive and angry bees could be a problem! Awesome video again!
