bought a package the other day

Well I'm a keeper now, bought a package and installed it Friday. I haven't given up on trapping a swarm, got 15 traps out on my 20 acres.. Lots of hollow trees in the swamp..

Getting ready to learn how to make splits and how to take care of the bees first hand in stead of reading and watching youtube about it..

I didn't wear a bee suit, installed the package the no-shake method, only got stung once in the face..
(it didn't feel like a bee kiss) Why do they always go for the face??? Am I that ugly!!!

Tomorrow I will pull the package out and check the for the queen.. Think I'll try the veil this time..

This morning I went into the hive to get the queen cage out. I had the smoker going good this time.. everything went smoothy but I got a bee up my sleeve.. (not wearing a suit) got stung after I finished and taking the shirt off..it really isn't all that bad getting stung.. just once..that is..

Well that good all went well with the check sucks you got stung you guys that don't where a suit are braver than I would be local beeks I've been talking to used to check without one and he have a hive explode on him a few years ago got stung bad over a hundred times and he's been beekeeping for over 30 years be careful

Most i have gotten in a day is around 20. Made me feel pretty crappy for the rest of the night. It felt like I was attacked with an air nailer.
