Put mine in the ground yesterday

Since it has been hitting the mid 80s here in East TX I decided it was time to put the garden in. Got finished planting yesterday. Put in beets (for the greens), kale, swiss chard, onions, zucchini, yellow summer squash, peter pan squash, cukes, eggplant, 4 types of tomatoes, green beans, bell peppers, jalapeno peppers, tabasco peppers, ghost peppers, radishes, chives, garlic chives, basil, oregano, mint and rosemary. I'd like to put in carrots but every time I plant them they come out all twisted and stunted. I can buy all the local sweet corn I want so I don't fool with it.

EDIT: I still had some kale, chard and beet greens in planters from last year and the chives produce all year round down here.

Sounds like a nice variety of vegetables. You reminded me that I need to get my but in gear and get the garden going ASAP. Time to put in all the nice leafy cool season things and time to get the not frost tolerant stuff started inside. As for the carrot thing I have had much better success growing them in the fall in soil that has been really well worked.

Oh man. You are about two months ahead of us up here. I haven't even thought about starting seeds yet. Sounds like you have a great variety going, be sure to keep us posted on the process.
