I planted a late corn patch and the crows were working it hard
Wish they would pull weeds like that..
so I got a couple of those big rat traps and cut a weed stem to look like small corn popping through the dirt.
opened the clip on the trap threaded the stem in and closed the clip on it.. so anything that pulled the stem would set off the trap.. covered it all with fine dirt . it seems to be working.. after all three traps were set off the first day. none of the traps were fired this morning, only sign I saw a one feather in the field where one might have been hit..
so now they are pulling up my late green beans... yeah sometimes ya can't win..
