JC, the island. Instead of trying to figure out the best spots for blinds, just figured an island in the center would be the best bet, and depending on the wind, set up accordingly.

thats cool...what are you going to put in to help eat mosquitoes??fathead minnows? you going to stock crawfish and frogs or just let them populate naturaly??

Hounddog, I'll be putting up wren and blubird boxes to help out with the skeeters. When the wetlands is full, the deep spots will be around 6 feet. The frogs and crawfish will just show up, but I may be adding a few fish next spring.

i am doing a few more wood duck boxes and get them up before spring so when the woodys come by they have a place ready.i want to have up atleast 6 boxes on my small pond and creek area.you need dozens of boxes on your swamp.

If you decide to stock crayfish, let me know. One of the places I trap is a former hatchery. The man that owns it has more knowledge on this than you could shake a stick at. There are around 40 or 50 holding ponds on the property. I might catch a coon there this year!
