You can see from the field and lane being flooded how much rain we got last night. The wetlands is almost at it's maximum now. Another foot or so and it'll be full. (You can just make out the 2nd, smaller wetlands behind the treeline)
The wetlands pictured covers about 3.5 acres of water. While the DNR and Soil and Water recommend these being only a couple to 3 feet deep, I convinced the contracter to dig 3 sections at over 6 feet. I didn't want a dry dirt bowl in hot summers. Yes, there will be fish. Muskrats? Well, I'm guessing they'll make it in there as well....that's usually unavoidable.
