Man this weather has been perfect for the garden. Showers, then hot sun, then showers and more hot sun. Seeds we put in just a few days ago have popped out of the ground already ;D.
Here's a few pics. The bush beans:
The first garden. Tomatoes, peppers, cukes, beans and broccoli.
The second garden has cabbage, a ton of broccoli, squash, beans and corn.
The corns doing great already.
We also have another 30x80' planting of corn in one of the fields ;D It's been sunny all day and now it's looking like another shower coming. Couldn't ask for better weather for germination.
Jc, it is amazing how fast seeds have been coming up. I could swear my corn gains inches daily. Looking good buddy ;D Did you plant all the same variety of corn?
You should send some of that rain west. It has rained to the west 5 miles to the east 8 miles, but yet to rain here Gardens are looking really good JC!
The garden looks good...I am jealous as heck....I love to play in the dirt!!!
Did you ever see the movie Secondhand Lions (one of my personal favorites, if you haven't seen it, it is worth a look) the "uncles" buy a lot of seeds from a traveling salesman...when these different seeds start popping up....they all look the same...its corn. So instead of a garden...they end up with a corn field. That last picture reminded me of that.

Well so much for that. The tempature's dropping like a rock. A couple hours ago we were bringing in groceries and sweating our asses off. Now it's approaching the 40's and windy as hell. I just heard something about frost on the radio .
