I just got a book called "Raising Rabbits The Modern Way" by Bennett. I glanced thru it, and it looks pretty good. I'm looking forward to raising a few rabbits for the table.
My grandfather used raise rabbits for a local grocery store, meat went to the store, fur to the local buyer, I think he butchered every 6-8 weeks, can't realy remember, grandpa has been dead for 40 ears now, realy miss him. Steve
Ive been raising rabbits for a few years to eat the newzealand whites are probably your best bet you get the most meat to bone ratio of any other breed. and rabbit is probably the healthiest meat known to man

i am getting a rabbit from my tech. ed teacher. He has 80 rabbits and breeds them and i got one from him for $10. Not sure what breed it is but it is all Tan or all light brown color. HE'S A CUTE LITTLE GUY!
