Hey all,
Had a question on how much of different types of vegetable you plant to get a good winter/early spring supply? What types of veggies, and how many quarts to put up for a family of four? Thanks for the help, and I really like this forum!

I figured 2 jars of veggies every 2 days. What we did when the kids were in the roost is heat the contents of 2 jars for a meal and the next day have left overs. As for your other question--hopefully someone else will chime in and help you out. John
It's just the wife and I here and we need 80 - 90 quarts of tomato's to make it from harvest to harvest. We freeze most of our other vegies rather than can. 75 pepper plants and 75 broccoli plants usually does the trick and we froze about 90 ears of corn (off the cob). Next year we plan to put up about 300 ears cause we really like the way it came out
