Wild Strawberries are found in open spaces and can be as invasive as dandelions. The entire plant is sought after for its medicinal properties and extracts from the fruits have been proven to combat the formation of cancer cells. The tiny fruits are super sweet and high in vitamin C and antioxidants. The leaves and roots can are used as an astringent to treat diarrhea. A tea made from the leaves and roots was used to treat dysentery and can also be used as a gargle for the treatment of mouth infections. The fruits can also be helpful in treating urinary tract disorders. Studies have shown that the extract from wild strawberries can reduce cell proliferation of both breast cancer cells and colon cancer cells.
