Well I gotta tell ya. The people at Tractor Supply are top notch in customer service. Last month I bought a small el cheepo 5x8 trailer from them. I have a heavy duty 5x10 trailer and it's way more than I need when all I want to haul is my quad, and I just needed a lightweight one for my light duty hauling. Anyway, I brought it home on May 5th and it sat in the yard since then. I just registered it a few days ago and was leaving the yard with it for the first time yesterday morning. As I'm departing, I happen to look out my mirror and I notice the wheel on the drivers side is wobbling. I'm like and get out and look at it and the lug nuts are abot a half inch away from being seated.
I back it up to my parking area and attempt to tighten the lug nut when I notice the lug nuts are on backwards. Then I realize the whole fricken rim is on backwards.
Totally PISSED I get on the phone to Tractor Supply and tell them of the problem.
Now I'm half expecting them to tell me to since I've had the trailer for over a month but they told me to come in and they'd give me a new rim and tire since the holes were elongated from the drive home.
Anyway, I'm putting the tire back on and I see that the lugs were damaged and MammaD pulls up and I tell her of the issue. She's like and goes into the house. Next thing I know she's on the phone with Tractor Supply and roaring about how disastrous this could have been if we lost a wheel on the interstate and on and on about the what ifs and what for's. At this point I was feeling bad for the guy cause when you're on the receiving end of the wrath of MammaD it aint no picnic and you either or
So... they must have been watching for us cause when I pulled up and entered the store they were all and they were bigtime. ;D
We went through all the options, they offered to replace the hub and rim & tire, exchange it for another trailer etc, but after looking at the other trailers I just decided to return it and be done with it. They paid me back in cash and even gave me the money that I paid the DMV for registering it. No hassles what so ever. Their customer service is exemplary. ;D
If you buy a trailer there, make sure you check to see if all the nuts and bolts are tight and the tires on on straight. Guess it's not safe to assume things like that these days.
