eatting food from the homestead

Last night my wife cooked us a wonderful dinner.Rib eye steak, sweet corn,potatoes baked in the oven season with Uncle Jim's potato seasoning,pickled beets, topped off with home made Buttermilk biscuits.evrything we had for dinner came from are homestead.it sure makes it taste better,in my mine anyway

I love it when my entire meal comes from the property. Venison and garden vegetables etc. It can't be beat. Enjoyed a nice fat veggie omlet yesterday and the only part of breakfast that wasn't home grown was the coffee. I get the same satisfaction when burning my woodfired kitchen stove. I'm heating the house, my water, and cooking food with firewood that was harvested on the farm. Backwoods multitasking. Gotta love it. ;D

I'm willing to bet if the grocery stores shut down for a week, 90% of the people I work with would be screwed
