A cold and blustery day today so since the woodfired oven was hanging at 350* we decided to bake a few venison lasagnas. I plan to devide these and freeze the portions for easy meals later on.

I'm pretty certain I could have fit 3 more pans in there if I had them. Pretty fricken slick when you think that it's just the same fire that's heating the house. No utility company involved in this cooking project. ;D

Look guys he cooked enough for all of us.. man those look good and bet they taste better just because they was cooked in the old wood fired oven. Sunday used to be the day for baking and we never had store bougnt bread or sweets. All was home made and cooked in a wood fired oven in the kitchen. The gridle cakes and coffee on a cold snowy morning while all the pets was sprawled infront if it. yeh buddy old boss man that brings back some memories. I will have one of those ovens in my new cabin kitchen if i ever get a chance to build it.

You won't regret it buddy. It's very rewarding when I cook up a batch of food like this and not feed the utility bill to do it.
