That's a Newt. To my knowledge they are orange like that when they are young and then live on land, but then turn brown and live in the water. Most people call them salamanders when they see them in the water. There's so many of those orange Newts in the NH woods that it's hard not to step on them. I see them here too but not as many as NH. I've always liked those little guys.

# Just a added note. The" teenage" eft or newt (same) is not a reptile but a amphibian. Also the ones in the Pacific Northwest have a toxin if in-jested can kill even a human.
