This is what I love to do when the weather turns cold, but it is good anytime! Prep time - about 10 Min. Cook Time - 6-8 Hours. I put this on before I go deer hunting or working on the farm and have a great meal by the time I come back!
OK guys and gals, here is the standard recipe:
3 Cans of Pork and Beans (15 oz)
1 Boneless Pork Loin (about 3-4 lbs)
1 Onion Sliced
1-1/2 Cups Barbeque Sauce
1 Tsp Garlic Powder
1/4 Cup Brown Sugar
Cut loin in half and lay in bottom of Crock Pot. Cover with onion. Mix everything else in large bowl and pour over meat. Turn pot on low and cover and cook 6-8 hours. Take two forks and shred the loin, stir all together and serve!
Now I like my food flavorful, meaty and spicy, so I put a ghost pepper rub on the loin, and cut up some fresh jalapenos and mushrooms and added to the mix with some pepper and a dash of spice from an Italian Herb Grinder. Enjoy!
