Bat Houses? How do you make them?

Mornin' Swampers! I'm looking for a fun project to do with my son. I've always wanted to put in a bat house on my property to keep the Mosquitos down. Plus I think bats are very cool!

Anyone on here ever built there own bat house? If so, what dimensions and how would you construct one. Also, what can you do to entice bats to come to the house? I have seen them flying around here and there, so I know they are here.

Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

I used to have a bat house. It was about 1500 square feet and I lived in it as well! My last house was infested with them. After they started landing on my headboard at night while i was trying to sleep i had enough and hired someone to get rid of them. To this day they still make my skin crawl.
