I wanted to take a minute here to share with you something that I have discovered that is the cat’s a** for your vegetable gardens! Normally other animal’s fertilizer needs to be composted for about a month before it is safe to throw into your garden, however, rabbit poop does not!
I have personally used this in my gardens with excellent results! We have a pet rabbit we keep outside in a hutch in the nice spring and summer months and into the fall, the bottom of the hutch is made with hardware cloth which allows the dropping to fall into the top soil below. I simply just let it accumulate and rake it up into a bucket and disperse it amongst my plants.
Just the other day I noticed a few of my tomato plants weren’t growing as quickly as the others, so I tossed in some rabbit poop and I kid you not in 2 days, those tomato plants perked right up and are thriving!
Just wanted to share this with you and hope it is helpful to some of you guys.
All the Best Swampers!
OBSESSED: A word the lazy use to describe the dedicated.
Everyone always wonders whey I have 5 gallon pails of rabbit poop all over the place but this is why, works so good, and even if you only have a couple rabbits you can sure get a lot of this stuff in a short time!
