I have raised beds and this was my first garden every thing was tiny and not very abundant. I figured lack of nutrients cause I was faithful watering them but between now and next spring what should I do to or use to put plenty of nutrients back in the beds. Also do u all fertilize while stiff is growing like mid season and or how often. Thanks

I currently live in the city and have a city yard waste center that gives out free compost. I fill my raised beds with this compost either every year or every other year. I have great results, except for peppers for some reason but that just might be something I'm doing wrong. Other then that I use no other fertilizer.

I add organic matter when I can like leaves or grass clippings. Seems the best thing for me is I put all my fish parts, after cleaning fish, in the garden. Of course, you have to bury them but it makes a big difference in what plants produce.
