I look forward to posting pictures soon. I am an evaded bird man. I have my feeder filled at all times. In the summer I have Blue Birds and occasional Orioles. Question for you all, I was cleaning out my freezer and found 3 quarter pound of dear burger two years old. Would it be OK if I put it an onion bag for the birds to eat. Temperature are around 22 degrees here. Thank you for advice. I have viewed guys doing this with fat and scraps from left over hunts.
Answer is YES !!!, especially with the rough Winter we have been having so far. I have hung Beaver, Muskrat, Coon, Fisher and Otter as well as other Wildlife Species, Freezer Dried meats throughout my yard and on my Trap line, to find it devoured by many Species of Birds. Birds like all other Critters seek Protein whenever and wherever it maybe found, survival thru the cold months is a essential requirement. Hanging any type of meat on a Trap line is not only an attractant and food for birds but, is also a calling card for Fur Bearer's as they are drawn in by the ACTIVETY of our Fine Feathered Friends. FEED AWAY !!!,
