Thinking about canning some venison this fall. My freezer space is a little tight and by canning I can put it up without having to get another freezer. Problem is I've never done it and am now looking around for recipes. Found a bunch on the net but also looking to see if anyone here has a favorite they use. Probably going to use pint jars since it is just Mama and me. If you have a favorite and are willing to share I'd love to know what it is.

Flags , when I was younger and still at home my mom would can almost all are deer meat because of freezer space, I will have to see if I can find the recipe , I don't really remember it being to much , pretty basic.

I just canned a bunch last night. All I did was cut it into 1.5-2" chunks, pack it into pint jars and pressure cook it. You can add whatever spices you want but i just added pepper. It was super easy.
