It's finally that time, starting to get a few tomatoes a day now. We, or I guess I should say me, have been eating them as fast as they are ready. The cherokee purple seems to be the most prolific so far, the virginia sweet has produced a few as well. Still nothing from the brandywine yet, but it is loaded up with giant green tomatoes that are just starting to turn. Should be sauce and salsa making time soon as the paste tomatoes are also starting to produce some.
Now that looks like a cherokee purple, I started a bunch of them by seeds and got a few that even look like Cherokee's. Seeds now days, its no telling what your buying any more.. Most of my tomatoes look and taste about like grocery tomatoes..
