The wife and I picked a wheel barrow full of tomatoes this morning.. she is cooking them down now for canning..
the son in law and I picked 20 pounds of okra, took it up to a meat market and sold it for a quick 25 bucks.. not to bad considering we will be getting at least 20 pounds and up every other day.. if I can market it, I should be able to pay for this garden and next springs garden..
the top pick pink eyed peas are in bloom.. ' I got carrots, beets, mustard, collards, turnips, rape, and kale in the ground a couple of days ago, and we have had a rain shower or two already.. its been a good year for the garden here, and weeds don't ya know it...
Cleaned out the tomato patch today, around 230 plants on crop netting.. took it all down and plowed it under.. glad to see it finished.. picked okra today also.. okra will be coming till frost kills it..
the peas are putting on and soon I will get the sheller out for a work out.. one of the best investments I ever bought, about every year so far I sold enough peas to pay for it..
got beets, collards, mustards, rape, and turnips coming up now..
