heres the best for planting in banks to help stop erosion.crown vetch....it is expensive $25 a pound.also here is a picture of some bacteria you need in soil for it to grow good.the seed comes treated.but i like to put out extra bacteria so as to be sure it will get going good.also clover and alfalfa needs bacteria.it doesn't cost much for the bacteria so i put on extra also.hope this helps.

yes it is JC.the bacteria for clover and alfalfa are the same for both of them.but the crown vetch is different.its just me..but i also had a expert recommned putting extra in the soil.better to have to much than not enough.once i palnted a patch and it didnt do good.so after some disscussion about it i just decided form then on to put extra on the ground.
